A graduate from Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Arts Entertainment and Media Management, Orondé interned at several entertainment companies while thriving in his role as president of Columbia’s Urban Music Association (CUMA). During his 2-year tenure, he helped guide the fledgling organization to become one of the school’s top organizations. Alumni of CUMA have gone on to work for such companies as Universal Music, Warner Bros Entertainment, Rhino Records, and Translation Advertising Agency.
He was honored with two AEMMY Awards in 2008: the Outstanding Leadership In A Student Organization award for his work with CUMA, and the Music Business Sustained Passion award for spearheading the development of several music business conferences and workshops.
Within 5 months of moving to Los Angeles in 2008, Orondé completed a 5-week music supervision program under esteemed music supervisor Matt Kierscht & composer Frankie Blue, which led to a 16-month internship at The Producers Lab under Emmy Award-Winning composer Richard Wolf, and acquired his position as a publishing administrator for Warner Music Group. He launched MusicPub101.com in 2012 as a resource for artists to learn more about the world of music publishing, and has led several workshops and panels on the topic.
Now based in Nashville, Orondé has continued to consult artists and entrepreneurs nationwide in the areas of music publishing, marketing, photography, branding, and artist development. Never satisfied with the status quo, he continues to grow and expand beyond his current knowledge, in the hopes of inspiring others to strive for excellence.
